God keeps His promise, and He will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, He will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (TEV)
To the wonderful people who asks me on how to start a #devotion, you are all awesome! (Need not I to mention your names because you know who you are.) This is also for the people who is not asking but I wanna share this anyway! :)
When I was starting to seek the Truth and my purpose, The Purpose Driven Life was the first ever book I read (and I still read it over and over again) and very much helped me in my Spiritual enlightenment. I suggest to you invest in this book too. It’s a 40-days journey. I also strongly recommend to always have a Bible with you be it hardcopy or softcopy plus a notebook wherein you can jot down notes and insights you have in mind. As for me, whenever I feel down or happy, I am always amazed when I am reminded of what I wrote before. :)
After this 40-day journey, I am confident that you will be more thirsty of what His promises are to you and you will seek and seek Him more with a joyful heart and with a purpose! :)
There are many tools available in the App store or even on the internet. #YouVersionApp is one of my favorite because it is virtual #Bible wherein you can choose a variety of versions, it also has Daily Bible Verses, and Bible Plans too (which I am using right now)!
Alright, that’s it. Haha thanks for reading! Hope this simple tips will help you in your daily devotion! ♡
1 Corinthians 13:2 NIV
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
Those who have hurt you in the paast cannot continue to hurt you now UNLESS you hold on to the pain through resentment. Your past is past! Nothing will change it. You are only hurting yourself with your bitterness. For your own sake, learn from it, and then let it go.
The Bible says, “To worry yourself to death with resentment woulf be a foolish, senseless thing to do.” — Job 5:2
Psalm 32:1 NIV
Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
When I have medidated on this verse, there’s also one song that I have remembered — While I’m Waiting by John Waller — theme song in the FIREPROOF movie and I wanted to share a little lyrics of it to you:
"I will move ahead, bold & confident,
Taking every step in obedience,
While I’m waiting, I will worship,
While I’m waiting, I will serve You,
While I’m waiting, I will not no faint,
I’ll be running the race,
Even while I wait.”
Acrophobia a.k.a. Fear of Heights.Yes, I still have it but I am little by little overcoming it. From high stairways to the top of a building. Early this year, I took it to the next level — mountain climbing. Have I thought of giving up? Yes, I always did but believe me or not, I am fighting with myself. Whenever I think about quitting the trail everytime I get tired and when it seems that I can’t do it, guess what — God reminds me that He is my strength. He will never leave me nor forsake me and I can do all things with Him! You see, faith can really move mountains! In general application, we only have to put out trust to Him and His promises! Amazing, isn’t He? ♥
We too can serve as caretakers of the weak and weary. We have ways to honor God by helping others. As we seek to serve those in need, may the grace of God that reached us in our need to move us to reach out to others in theirs.
Father, open my eyes to those struggling to have enough food, enough love, enough hope; then open up my heart to find ways to help them receive love, using my hands in service to them — and through them, to You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
